Frank is 9

And happy birthday to Dad, too! (But, Dad, you only get one pic)

We had a good day, which began with Mass on Divine Mercy Sunday and the canonization of two popes. What a day to be born!

He wanted to go walk around the mall, so that is what he did - mall walk. And the cake and toys were a hit, too - as always.

Happy Birthday, Frankie. We love you!

Happy Easter

This was the one shot I got via self-timer with the camera on top of the trash can. Nothing but class here.

We were able to eat an early supper outside, and the weather was gorgeous. I hope everyone else had as nice an Easter as was had at our home.

Happy Easter!

10 Finger and 10 Toes

Matt and I took Vincent this morning to go with us to get the ultrasound done for the baby. I don't know if the baby was just that more cooperative than Vincent and Pete were, or if the tech was just THAT MUCH BETTER. Anyhow, we left with some decent pictures of the baby, knowing that it had a face (unlike Vincent - his tech could not see his), 10 fingers and 10 toes, but still don't know if it is a he or a she. I was very tempted to have the tech share the sex with us, but no one else wanted to know, so we wait.

Teddy Bear Baby

Stop with the pictures, already!

Big yawn. Clearly the Baby was done with ultrasound.
We are over the halfway mark, and I definitely expect the second half of the pregnancy to go by much faster than the first half, which has been fast in my opinion. We will meet this little one before we know it. And, one of the big perks to not knowing the sex is that we can have a big pool going boy/girl, weight (the baby weighed in at 1 lb even today), and birth date (the baby measured about 10 days ahead my estimated due date)! I am so thankful the baby is healthy and safe, thank you, God :)

Catch Me if You Can

It's been about a year since Vincent started to do this:

The Witching Hour

Yesterday was rough for me and Vin come 5 o'clock. We had spent practically ALL afternoon outside enjoying the glorious, warm, sunny weather and when it came time to come inside, so I could prep the house - just the teencyist bit - for the boys coming home he had had it. Having spent all afternoon outside, he hadn't naped and I couldn't get anything done with him hanging all over me, so I resorted to my latest afternoon trick:

I caged him in front of the tv. And he looked like this^^. You can imagine the sound that came along with that face. And I only managed to get the dishwasher unloaded too. Matt had gotten stuck in traffic, and was not getting home until later than I had anticipated him arriving, so I decided to forego the kitchen and dinner and rescue the boy. At this point, I was afraid he may very well be my first child to work himself into a fit-throwing vomit frenzy....but thankfully we didn't let it get to that point:

All became right in his universe and MY peace was restored. Dinner was made as soon as Matt got home (shortly after I snapped this ^^) and the rest of the kitchen was cleaned. Buuuut, most importantly, my two babies are still asleep, and it's almost 8 o'clock the next morning. I think I will definitely do a repeat of yesterday - weather permitting -  and spend the day outdoors soaking up the sun and playing in the dirt. Exhausted kids are worth the fits sometimes....so long as they sleep in the end.

7!

Pete turned seven yesterday! I am always surprised - every year - to find out that his birthday is in fact in the winter. To solidify this cold, hard truth, mother nature has seen it fit to grant him a snow day today! So, on top of all of his birthday gifts, Pete is earning himself some cold ca$h by shoveling the sidewalk. Matt is generously paying him one whole dollar for this....

Who needs presents, when you can play with gift wrap?

Birthdays are hard when they are not yours

Next in line for Bronzi birthdays
March has definitely come in like a lion. My hope is the pics I post of Frank's birthday we'll all be in shorts and t-shirts...with blogging of snow storms only being a distant memory. But for now, we are enjoying staying in our pj, watching movies all day long, overdosing on delish power ranger cake and left over movie candy, all while fighting over playing with new birthday toys. We love you Pete! It's been a super seven filled years!!

The Redeeming Fact(s) of February

I am not a fan on this winter. Amid all the snow we have gotten, we have been graced with many a snow days and delayed school starts, for which I am thankful. Another good thing to be found in this February was brunch for Aunt Rosie's birthday with Nana and the lovely sisters.

We miss you already, Nan!

That is about it in the "great moments" that this month has in store, so can we please move on to March - the LAST month of winter.

In all seriousness, this winter has been particularly difficult not just because of the snow and severe cold weather, but also, I had to deal with first trimester exhaustion and other pregnancy related drama. I am very excited to be leaving all of that behind me with the conclusion of February.
